Success at the Annual Waterloo Shooting Competition
This weekend the Flintshire District Target Sports Teams proudly represented themselves and District at the Annual Waterloo Shooting Competition, held at Milldale Scout Centre.With 2 Scouts, 3 Explorers and 6 leaders in attendance, the team took part in a weekend of competition in the following areas:· Air Rifle PCP· Air Rifle Springer· Air Pistol PCP· Air Pistol Springer· Field Target· Field Sprint· Crossbow· Archery· As well as the Sunday Knock Out competitionOver the last 12 months these young athletes have been working extremely hard on their personal development. Well I can tell you the hard work paid off bringing home 5 medals.- Cadi: Gold in Crossbow- Elin: Bronze in “Best Newcomer” category- Fraya: Gold in Archery- Geoff Brown: Bronze in Crossbow- Terry Gleave: Bronze in PCP PistolThe competition not only tested the participants’ shooting accuracy and discipline but also fostered teamwork, focus, and confidence. As a shooting instructors, it was a privilege to see our young people grow and shine through the event and receiving that award at the presentation.Well done to everyone who took part in the competitions and helped with the organisation of the camp. We’re already looking forward to next year!
