Last weekend (Saturday, 11th October), over 80 Scouts, Explorers and Adults from across the Clwyd area gathered at Gladstone Campsite for the third annual Cwynsyllt Shooting Competition — and it was our biggest yet!
Representing groups and districts from across Clwyd, Everyone took part in a full day of exciting shooting disciplines, including air rifle, air pistol, archery, crossbow, and even tomahawk throwing. The competition was friendly but fierce, with impressive skills on display across the board.
This event has grown each year, and 2025 was no exception — both in numbers and enthusiasm. With so much interest, we’re already planning to expand the event to run over both Saturday and Sunday next year, giving even more young people a chance to get involved.
A huge thank you to all the leaders, volunteers, and instructors who made the day possible — and to all the Scouts who took part with such energy and great spirit.
